Capital City Bank announces Maria H. Bartlett, M.D. is the newest member of its Bibb County Community Board of Directors. Dr. Bartlett’s practice is Heart of Georgia Cardiology, which has offices in Macon, Dublin and Thomaston.

Practicing medicine since 1983, Bartlett received her medical degrees from the Medical College of Georgia with AOA Honors. She completed her internship, Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Hospital and continued on to receive her Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. She was appointed as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of the Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and has been the Medical Director of HCA- Coliseum Park Hospital Cardiac Cath Lab since 1988. She has privileges at the Medical Center, Navicent Health, HCA- Coliseum Park and Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon.

Bartlett currently serves as the Medical Director on the Board of Optimum Health Care, an organization helping private practices since 1996 in the way of support, educational programs and a wide variety of services to its medical practice membership. She is also the immediate past president of the Bibb County Medical Society.

Married with two children, Bartlett is active in church and community activities and is an alumnus of Mt. de Sales Academy and Mercer University.
