The River Edge Foundation is pleased to announce its latest members to join its non-profit board of directors. Ron Collier, Brett Coppock and Jeremy Pritchard have each committed to serving a three-year board term.

Collier is the Chief Financial Officer for the Bibb County School District, a position he’s held for 20 years. He manages the District’s finances, which includes a $300 million annual budget, supporting approximately 24,300 students and 3,200 full-time employees. He is an active member of his church, St. Paul AME, where he has served as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He has volunteered and served with several local organizations, including the Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Adopt-A-Role Model program, the Optimist Club and United Way of Central Georgia. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Public Accountants, the Georgia Association of School Business Officials and the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association.

Pritchard serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Treasury Professional for State Bank & Trust Company. He has over 15 years of banking experience in the Georgia area, with expertise in fraud mitigation, funds management, treasury management and information technology. He serves on the National ACH Association’s Government Relations Advisory Group and has a long history of community involvement, including service as an Americorps Service Member.

Coppock is a former cargo airline pilot and police officer with seven years’ sobriety.  Her success story began at The River Edge Recovery Center. “Brett is the evidence that behavioral health conditions impact every part of society. She is also a living example that treatment is effective, that recovery is real,” said Shannon Terrell Gordon, Chief Executive Officer.

The River Edge Foundation raises private funds, principally, to support the efforts of River Edge Behavioral Health Center, a community-based behavioral health organization that offers a full continuum of care for individuals dealing with the biologically based brain disorders of mental illness, addiction or developmental disabilities.

The volunteer board of directors assists with the Foundation’s fundraising, investing, stewarding contributions and assets, governing the Foundation, as well as forming lasting and mutual beneficial relationships with community partners, constituencies and stakeholders.

Of the appointments, Gordon added, “We are so honored that these three professionals would invest their intelligence, competence and precious time sharing the River Edge story of hope to inspire giving to help make life better.”
