Macon-Bibb CVB Welcomes New Director of Tourism & Marketing Manager

The Macon-Bibb County Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired Steven Fulbright as Director of Tourism and Angela Stanley joins the organization as Marketing Manager.

Steven Fulbright has served as the Main Street Manager for Macon-Bibb County since 2014. While at Main Street Macon, Fulbright worked to bring life to Downtown Macon through events, business development, marketing, and developing strong relationships with community partners.

Prior to joining the Main Street program, Fulbright spent 15 years promoting tourism and historic preservation at the Macon-Bibb CVB, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s Hay House.  He also served on the Antebellum Trail Board and coordinated the 7 cities Antebellum Trail Pilgrimage.  Currently, he serves as the Board President of the Macon Arts Alliance, is a Co-Chairman of The College Hill Commission, and sits on the boards of the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Macon Film Festival, and the Historic Macon Foundation.

“I look forward to combining my love of Macon, tourism, sales, product development, marketing, and economic development in my new role as the Director of Tourism for the Macon-Bibb CVB.  Macon is booming with new tourism opportunities, events, and attractions and I’m excited to be able to continue to promote Macon and invite the world to our great city,” said Fulbright.

Angela Stanley previously held several marketing positions at Turner Broadcasting Systems with various networks, which included, TBS, TNT, and Cartoon Network.  She has also worked in marketing at Georgia State University for the College of Education, as well as other positions in media buying and event planning.

“As a Maconite, I’m excited to return back home and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of my hometown.  Also, I’m humbled to have the opportunity to do what I love, marketing and promoting what I’m passionate about, which is everything, Macon.  I look forward to this new adventure,” said Stanley.
