GSAE Annual Meeting Happening in Macon May 31st–June 2nd

The Georgia Society of Association Executives celebrates its 100th Anniversary and 2017 Annual Meeting in Macon on May 31 – June 2 at the Macon Centreplex and The Macon Marriott City Center. This year’s theme is “Creating Association Rock Stars since 1917 & for the Next 100 Years.” There’s expected to be 230 attendees with 320 hotel rooms booked.  

The Annual Meeting will feature Keynote Speakers Beth Z., Your Nerdy Best Friend, and Shelly Alcorn, CAE. Special events include a 3K Fun Run/Walk, Silent Auction, concert at The Tubman Museum and Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, reception at Museum of Arts and Sciences, and a Dine Around in Downtown Macon. The Society and the Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau selected Loaves & Fishes Ministry as the beneficiary of its annual raffle, “Pay the Pig.”

“This year’s theme emphasizes how our programming will help organizations and professionals be most successful in a challenging and rapidly changing environment. Our nationally recognized speakers, sponsors and exhibitors are eager to share information and connect with over 230 GSAE attendees and guests,” said Wendy Kavanagh, CAE, President.    

Mayor Robert Reichert will proclaim June 1, 2017 as “Georgia Society of Association Executives Day in Macon” in recognition of the Society’s positive impact on the association community in the Southeast.
