Peach County Board of Commissioners to Host Grand Opening for Workforce Development Center Thursday

The Peach County Board of Commissioners will celebrate the dedication and grand opening of the Peach County Regional Workforce Development Center, in honor of Dr. William D. Moorehead, Sr., Thursday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m. The Center is located at 425 James E. Khoury Drive in Fort Valley.
 
The Center offers Peach County citizens the ability to cultivate a workforce with the skills and training needed to further economic development in the surrounding area. Additionally, the facility provides the community greater accessibility for educational options.
 
As an occupant of the PCWDC, Central Georgia Technical College offers academic training programs, as well as adult education and GED® preparation courses. The College currently offers Commercial Truck Driving, Welding, Health Sciences, and general education courses at the Center.
 
The dedication ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the ribbon cutting at 3 p.m.
 
Self-guided tours of the facility will follow the ceremony.
