Navicent Health Prepares to “Paint the Town Pink” for Breast Cancer Awareness

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Friday, September 30th, 2016

Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related death among women in the U.S., and affects those from every ethnic and socioeconomic background. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, with an estimated 246,660 new patients expected to be diagnosed this year. Although these statistics are alarming, improving treatments and early detection will allow many of these patients to be survivors.
