The University of Georgia's Small Business Development Center in Macon will host the GrowSmart, program in Macon Sept. 9th – Oct.7th.

In its eleventh year, SBDC GrowSmart, the signature series of the University of Georgia SBDC, consists of five modules delivered over five weeks.  Each module will focus on a particular business discipline, such as marketing, finance, and management, with individual sessions lasting from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This workshop is designed for business owners of companies that are established for at least two years, have at least one non-owner employee, generate annual revenues of $200,000 or more and are in a position to grow.

If your business is growing or ready for growth, SBDC GrowSmart gives you the steps, tools, and strategies to get there.  In five full-day, weekly sessions, learn to analyze and manage your business like a seasoned CEO.  GrowSmart was developed by the Georgia SBDC Network to meet the needs of growing businesses. You will evaluate your business, competition, and target markets in a hands-on, innovative program format that promotes the sharing of best practices.  You will also get advice from expert speakers and panels.

The workshop will be held from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Fridays, Sept. 9th – Oct. 7th, 2016.  Cost is $895 per person and includes the textbook, materials, as well as breakfast and lunch. Early registration price of $595 still available. No direct competitors are allowed, so an application is required. Online application is available at www.georgiasbdc.org/growsmart.

“The challenge facing small businesses today is determining the best strategies and tactics to use as the environment continues to change.  Our Marketing workshop will allow attendees to know what types of marketing efforts they need to invest in.” Matt Pearce, UGA SBDC Consultant said.
