Girl Scouts Announces 2016 Women of Distinction

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is proud to announce that Georgia Williams Hatcher, Jodi Schubert Palmer, and Patricia E. Walker have been selected as the 2016 Women of Distinction honorees.  A luncheon in their honor will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Noon at The Armory Ballroom. Council CEO Sue Else and Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient Caroline Gowan will speak about the power of Girl Scouting.

The Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction Award honors women whose lives reflect the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serve as excellent role models for girls.  Hatcher is a recognized community volunteer and civic leader; Palmer is the co-owner of Macon Magazine; and Walker is a retired DFACS director who is Executive Director of Out and Up, Inc. All are generous community servants whose leadership has had significant impact on the Macon community.
