Navicent Health invites the community to participate in a healthy day of learning and fun at the health system’s first annual East Macon Community Health Fair. The entire family is invited to participate in health screenings, demonstrations and discussions related to personal health and wellness.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 9 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at House of Hope (2270 Shurling Drive, Macon).

The following are just a few opportunities that will be offered at the East Macon Community Health Fair:

· Free health screenings for adults and children, including blood pressure, body fat analysis, glucose, HIV and vision exams.

· Full blood lipid screenings will also be provided at no charge.*

· GACHIP – A free program gives families a measure of protection against the disappearance of a child and provides law enforcement with important tools to assist in the speedy and safe recovery of a child. A single photo, fingerprinting, short video interview and DNA sample (from a mouth swab) of the child are compiled and given to the parents.
