Navicent Health, along with its partners Chick-fil-A, Inc. and Morrison Healthcare, is pleased to announce the grand opening of a new Chick-fil-A Express location on Navicent Health’s main campus. The restaurant becomes the first Chick-fil-A to serve the downtown Macon area.

Chick-fil-A Express is located within Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health (888 Pine Street, Macon, Ga.) adjacent to the facility’s lobby. A grand opening celebration for the new restaurant will be held on Thursday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. The celebration will include a ribbon cutting as well as Chick-fil-A’s traditional First Bite Ceremony, along with refreshments and prize drawings for those who attend.

“Each year, Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health cares for more than 45,000 patients who visit from across the state. The care that we provide is not limited to medical attention. Our desire is to extend that care to meet each need of our patients and their loved ones, and that includes offering them an affordable, conveniently-located dining option. We are honored to partner with Chick-fil-A to serve our patients and their loved ones, as well as those living and working in the downtown area,” said Dr. Ninfa M. Saunders, President and CEO of Navicent Health.

Featuring Chick-fil-A’s newest interior and kitchen design, the 3,600 square foot restaurant can seat up to 100 guests, with outdoor seating available in the nearby Children’s Hospital garden. The restaurant’s upgraded Heritage design is the first of its kind in central Georgia, providing a vintage look that includes subway tile, metals in a variety of finishes and patinas, a community table made of reclaimed timber and other unique custom features. Approximately 35 new jobs will be created as a result of the restaurant’s opening.

“Chick-fil-A believes in partnering with organizations that enrich the lives of youth. Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health has been dedicated to improving the lives of young people throughout the region for more than thirty years, and shares Chick-fil-A’s values of kindness and dedication to excellent services. We are pleased to begin serving this market,” said Steven Franklin, franchise operator with Chick-fil-A, Inc.

Chick-fil-A Express will be managed by Morrison Healthcare, Navicent Health’s food and nutrition services partner.

“We have enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Navicent Health and are pleased to have the opportunity to bring a Chick-fil-A restaurant to the Children’s Hospital and this community.
