South Georgian Named President of State Propane Gas Association

The Georgia Propane Gas Association recently held its annual convention in Savannah, Georgia and local businessman Dan Richardson of Conger LP Gas was named its president for the 2014-2015 year according to GPGA State Director Jenni McKeen.

“Dan has been very active in our association for many years. He became treasurer four years ago after having served as a director and committee chair,” according to McKeen. “In addition to being our Georgia state president for 2014-2015, Dan is our National Propane Gas Association state director.” 

Richardson is CEO of Conger LP Gas, which has locations in Tifton, Sylvester and Vidalia. His career in the propane industry began in 1993 with Tri-County Gas & Appliance. He joined Conger LP Gas, Inc. in 1998 as a stockholder and general manager.

He is married to Vivian Merrill Richardson. Their children include: Drs. Russ and Katie Richardson and their son Luke; Jake and Susan Guo Richardson; Sarah and Corbin Dickson and their son Carter; and Lia Richardson.

“It is an honor to represent the propane marketers in the state of Georgia,” said Richardson. “We have over 120 marketers in Georgia and we have a dedicated board that works with industry trade partners in trying to make sure the people of Georgia recognize the safe and economical benefits of using propane.”

At the same meeting, Conger Gas’s Alternative Fuel Sales Manager Bill Moore was reappointed as chairman of the Sunbelt Ag Expo Committee.

The Sunbelt Ag Expo Committee oversees the GPGA’s participation in the 3-day event in October.
