MicroLife Institute, a pioneer in education and advocacy for abundant housing and better housing policy, is bringing its signature South Eastern Tiny House Festival to Danville, Ga. this October.

“The Tiny House Festival is our best, most engaging and most fun way to have those important and necessary dialogues about our nation’s housing crisis and existing solutions,” Will Johnston, executive director of MicroLife, said. “Through this event, we can reach thousands and help them understand how to expand housing options in their own communities, and learn about the benefits of micro-living. It’s the most important work we do.

In partnership with Hummingbird Tiny Home Rentals, MicroLife will host this year’s two-day festival on Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23, at Hummingbird’s Danville property. Zack Giffin, best known as the lead carpenter on A&E’s hit show “Tiny House Nation,” will headline this year’s speaker showcase, breaking down the ins and outs of tiny home construction, the benefits of micro-living and more.

“We are thrilled to have Zack join us this year,” Johnston said. “He’ll bring a unique perspective to our event as a true master of tiny home building.

MicroLife is also introducing an exciting new offering to the festival, a two-day Builder’s Workshop. Before the Festival, on Friday, October 21, participants will join instructor Tom Ryals, the renowned builder of Hummingbird’s many micro-structures, and learn how to build a tiny house on wheels. Participants will also have complimentary entry to both days of the festival following the workshop.

More than 20 tiny houses will be available to tour at the 2022 South Eastern Tiny House Festival, along with a variety of food, beverage and entertainment vendors. Throughout the festival, attendees can listen and learn from experts on topics such as sustainability, minimalism, urban planning, zoning, and downsizing during the speaker showcase. A full line-up of guest speakers is available here: https://tinyhousefestival.com/
