Historic Macon, Hotel Forty Five Teaming up for 2022 Patrons Party

Thursday, February 10th, 2022

Historic Macon’s signature event of the year, the 2022 Patrons Party, is drawing near, and the preservation nonprofit is excited to hold the event as part of Hotel Forty Five’s grand opening.

The Patrons Party will be held from 6:30-10 p.m. Feb. 17 at the new 94-room boutique hotel in downtown Macon, across the street from the City Auditorium. There are no more tickets to the festivities, which will include a special guest performer.

The annual party gives Historic Macon’s members at the Patron level or above an insider’s look at recently completed projects that often showcase creative, adaptive reuses of historic buildings. Hotel Forty Five, the city’s first hotel in Macon’s Historic Central Business District, opened for business Feb. 1.

Partygoers will get to see the transformation of the 11-story building — completed in 1941 — up close, including the sixth-floor Hightales Rooftop Bar; the street-level restaurant, Loom; and the Reckon Coffee & Wine Bar. The hotel also features outdoor spaces, anchored by the Willie C. Hill Memorial Plaza.

Historic Macon was unable to hold its Patrons Party in 2021 because of the pandemic.
