Staff Report

Friday, August 27th, 2021

It is with great pleasure that the Perry Chamber of Commerce announces the selection of Maggie Schuyler as our new President and CEO. Her professional background and performance record coupled with her experience in community service, recruitment and fundraising make her uniquely qualified for the position. Maggie received her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University.

Maggie originally moved to Perry in 2007 after graduating from Georgia Southern University. Her first job was the Events and Fundraising Coordinator for the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce. She lived in Perry for 11 years and was very active in the community. Maggie served on the Perry CVB Board of Directors from 2015 to 2018. She was a member of the Zaltana Civic Club from 2012 to 2018. She enjoyed shopping at the Perry Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings, eating funnel cake at the Georgia National Fair, attending the Taste of Perry with friends, ringing in the New Year at the Buzzard Drop, and celebrating our nation at the Freedom Fireworks.

Maggie and her family moved to the Atlanta area in 2018, but she never stopped thinking about Perry. When she had the opportunity to move back to Middle Georgia, Maggie knew that she wanted her family to settle down and live in the Perry area again. Perry was, is now, and will continue to her our hometown.

Congratulations Maggie and welcome to the Perry Chamber!
