U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, visited ‘Robins North’ to welcome the new Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex Commander, Brigadier General Jennifer Hammerstedt, back to Middle Georgia and receive a briefing on maintenance and training operations.

The Senator’s wife, Mrs. Bonnie Perdue, met with military spouses to discuss housing, education, and spouse employment initiatives.

“Having grown up in Warner Robins, I know how important Robins Air Force Base is to Georgia and our overall national security,” said Senator Perdue. “It’s no surprise that the Middle Georgia community continues to find innovative ways to support Robins’ growth. Just over a year ago, we announced a major public-private partnership to establish ‘Robins North,’ and today we’re seeing those efforts pay off. With this facility, Robins has been able to better prepare our future workforce. As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I look forward to working with General Hammerstedt and her team to continue Robins’ strong legacy of success.”

In April 2019, Senator Perdue helped announce a major partnership between Macon-Bibb County, Central Georgia Technical College, and Robins Air Force Base to establish ‘Robins North’ at the former Boeing manufacturing facility.
