In the last four years, United Way of Central Georgia has run the three highest campaign totals ever.

“I am so proud to announce the record breaking year United Way of Central Georgia has accomplished with this past year’s campaign,” said George McCanless, President and CEO of United Way of Central Georgia. “It’s because of the hard work of so many people who dedicate their time, energy, and money to making a difference in Central Georgia.”

Three local community members were also awarded for their service to the community. Jeff Smith was awarded the Juanita T. Jordan Community Impact Award, Tom Woodbery was given the 5th Annual Lt. Randy Parker Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award, and Beverly Knight Olson awarded the Jack Steed Lifetime Achievement Award. “Our honorees at today’s luncheon have big hearts and they are a big part of what makes our community so special,” said McCanless.
