The wait is over. The Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau officially unveils our new destination and community brand, “Where Soul Lives.” Over the coming months, we will be working with local partners to integrate the new brand throughout the community.

“This is an exciting time and we have even more to look forward to in Macon,” said Monica Smith, President and CEO of the MBCCVB. “As we unveil this new brand, we feel that we’ve created something more than a new logo. For the visitors, it’s about the music, festivals, food, and fun. But for the rest of us, Macon is home. It’s beautiful, friendly, exciting, full of history and alive with energy – and it’s that combination that has created this beautiful thing we call soul.”

Thanks to the creativity and work of the Breensmith advertising agency and ChandlerThinks branding and marketing agency in helping to create our new brand. The Macon portion of the logo is designed to serve as a bold, yet playful mark that denotes our city’s colorful past and vibrant future. The arches at the end of the “M” and “N” were designed to serve as a nod to Macon’s central location for both commerce and recreational travelers. The tagline “Where Soul Lives” was created to speak not only to our rich history, but also of who we are today. Macon is a vibrant, growing city, teaming with hospitality and history, with tons to offer visitors and residents alike.

You will find our new brand message, “Where Soul Lives”, reflected on our website and throughout our social media channels. Stay tuned, there’s much more to come in the coming months including our new branding toolkit and other promotional items.
