Robins Regional Chamber Celebrates 4th Annual Chamber Week

The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Chamber Week (May 4-8, 2015); an initiative which showcases the role that the Chamber plays in the community by focusing on leadership development, community and government advocacy, education and networking.

Each day during Chamber Week, a signature event will spotlight one of the active committees of the Chamber and provide outstanding networking and educational opportunities.  The week starts with a VIP Kick-Off Reception at the Chamber on Monday, May 4th at 4:00 p.m. and will feature a proclamation, ribbon cutting and toast, sponsored by the Courtyard by Marriott and Events of Excellence.  The Chamber Week Proclamation will be presented by Houston County Commission Chairman, Tommy Stalnaker and the Tri-city Mayors- Mayor Randy Toms, Warner Robins; Mayor John Harley, Centerville; and Mayor Jimmy Faircloth, Perry.

On Tuesday, May 5th at 11:30 a.m. at the Middle Georgia Conference Center (706 N. Houston Road), the Chamber’s annual meeting takes on a new lunchtime format, Robins Regional Outlook & Annual State of the Chamber.  This event will highlight the strategic initiatives of the Chamber as well as offer an economic outlook by Mercer University’s Dr. Susan Gilbert.  Cost is $25 to attend.

Wednesday’s event, led by the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee features the annual Legislative Eggs & Issues breakfast.  Confirmed delegates include Sen. Ross Tolleson, Sen. David Lucas, Sen. John Kennedy, Rep. Robert Dickey, Rep. Buddy Harden, Rep. Bubber Epps, and Rep. Heath Clark.    The delegates will offer an update on how state government is working to enhance the Robins Region.  Eggs & Issues will be held at 7:45 a.m. at the Museum of Aviation in Hangar One.  Cost is $15 to attend.

Bring colleagues and friends and join the Chamber for the annual Super Business After Hours: Robins Regional Food Fest & Business Expo!  Led by the Community Development committee, this event will be held on the fourth day of this fast-paced week.  This fun event allows businesses in the Robins Region to showcase their products and services.  Guests will also enjoy the opportunity to sample great food from many of the local member restaurants at the Robins Regional Food Festival, which will be held in conjunction with the Expo from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7th at the Museum of Aviation – Century of Flight Hangar.  New this year and in partnership with Flint Energies & Cox Business the event will also feature a “Shark Tank” style business-pitch competition during Super BAH. This event is free for all to attend!  

Finally, on Friday, May 8th, end the week with the timeless Chamber tradition,Business on the Greens: Chamber Golf Classic.  Take part in this exciting day of networking and fun while learning more about other business leaders in the community.  The tournament begins at 8:30 am a.m. at Houston Lake Country Club.
