Wednesday, September 17th, 2014

The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased host the 7th Annual Middle Georgia Regional Political HobNob; to be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Central Georgia Technical College’s Warner Robins Campus- 80 Cohen Walker Drive.

Presented by Cox, this event is designed to be an old fashioned political rally with an expectation of at least 250 guests to attend.  The purpose of HobNob is to give Chamber members and others in the community an opportunity to meet with candidates and representatives from their campaigns on a one-to-one basis.  The Chamber has invited all candidates appearing on the 2014 ballots, including both senatorial candidates Perdue and Nunn, who have strong ties to Houston County, as well as both gubernatorial candidates Deal and Carter.

Featured at the event will be Thomson Middle School chorus, who will perform a patriotic medley at the opening of the event.  Also featured at the event will be Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, Olivia McMillan.  She too will perform a selection during the evening.

Guests will also enjoy traditional all-American fare such as hamburgers, hotdogs and barbecue, provided by Sonny’s Real Pit BBQ and have a unique opportunity to take part in “straw vote” (with computers) for the senatorial and gubernatorial races.  The results will be revealed at the conclusion of the event.

The cost of the event is $15.00 for members of any Chamber and $25.00 for any non-members. Registration is available online at www.robinsregion.com.  This is a great event to connect with other business leaders as well as the candidates.
