TAG STATE OF THE INDUSTRY REPORT

There’s a very diverse and vibrant ecosystem in the Middle Georgia area which will be covered inThursday's presentation of the State of the Industry Report for Georgia.  Each year TAG presents its annual report highlighting achievements, opportunities, and challenges, facing the state’s technology community.

The information for our report is gathered through extensive primary and secondary research; and from over 300 of Georgia’s C-level leaders who participated in our Technology Decision Maker’sSurvey.

GEORGIA’S AEROSPACE INDUSTRY

TAG believes that Middle Georgia’s role in the states logistics, industrial engineering and aerospace industries will continue to grow and the numbers prove it.

Currently:

  • Georgia ranked No. 5 in the United States for aerospace employment in 2012, Justice said. That represents more than 500 aerospace companies employing about 86,000 people in the state. Georgia’s worldwide aerospace exports topped $5.75 billion – fourth highest in the U.S.
  • The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Surveillance International estimates 3,500 Georgians will work in the drone industry alone by 2025

We expect that Middle Georgia will play a significant role in increasing the number of companies and revenues derived from the industry.
